Women in STEM: Overcoming Challenges, Inspiring Success
This initiative is part of ASREN commitment under the EUMEDplus project to promote gender equality and empower women within the ASREN community and NRENs. It will be in a form of a panel discussion featuring women from the Arab region who will share their personal and professional journeys.
Overview
This session will be led by inspiring women from the region, showcasing success stories across various age groups, career stages, and countries. The discussion will explore how these women navigate challenges such as family responsibilities, national policies, and economic barriers, all while excelling in their fields.

Dr. Safa Nassereldin is a distinguished Palestinian leader with over 25 years of experience in education, research, business, and community development.
Dr. Ryma Abassi is Associate Professor at ISETCOM and the Director of the Institute, too (the first female ever). She is also a researcher at SUP’COM, Tunisia.
A distinguished public speaker, social entrepreneur, and changemaker from Lebanon with a PhD in Management from the University of Leicester.
Najah’s career spans over two and a half decades witnessing and navigating major restructurings, mergers, acquisitions and separations in both public and private sectors.
Dr. Ouafa Bentaleb is an esteemed Algerian researcher and doctor with a distinguished career in distributed computing infrastructure.
